FAVE TUNE OF THE WEEK
So long time no see though I doubt many people read this. First off I would like to say, still living in the shitty apartment with the two over-the-top feminist/YAY GURLS roommates however now I am able to pay rent.
That isn’t what I am hear to talk about though. This time it is about ma lurve life… which I was definitely lacking until now and currently have too much of. A few weeks back a guy that I was waaaay too into 2 years ago made a move on me and took me on a date out of nowhere «SHOCKING» Not only have I not spoken to them since first year, I have always thought they had someone. So yay for me I guess that out of the blue they show up and ask me out? *happydance~*
That isn’t where this ends though. At the exact same time or maybe a day or so later, the guy I have been after all summer after an incident (involving the best boy ever moving away) suddenly decides that they are really into me. What kind of shitty luck is this?! Is this good or bad, I really don’t know anymore because I am awfully torn.
Do I stay with the tall dark and handsome Ry-Guy who is a total sweetheart and been on my mind for the past 3 years or do I give up and go for the older, equally sweet Swede who gets me on a different level? Why can’t good things like boys happen at different times and not all at once?!
watch the american dad episode where stan gets obsessed with my morning jacket
and you will know what I am going through with two door cinema club.
This is probably my favourite blog in the whole wide world. Perfect for those of us who will never get over the Pokemon stage of life

Finally found a new apartment!! Wooooo…. okay it isn’t that exciting, mostly due to the lack of communication from the person I am subletting for.
Usually, when you take over someone else’s lease, they should be a little more eager to talk to you and arrange something instead of leaving you in the dark, unsure of whether you actually have a place to live. Or at least maybe have some courtesy and call you back after you leave 3 messages.
Lesson being, when you rent an apartment, don’t leave it up to students or anyone your own age really to make an arrangment. Go straight to the landlord or owner so you get to the point and you can be sure the contract is clear. This way you don’t have to deal with surprises down the road and your landlord can come straight to you with problem instead of making a mess trying to get a hold of the flake who dropped out.
What does one do when they first start living on their own? Everyone makes it sound so simple, you get a job, you pay your rent, everything just works out fine. How is it that I am incapable of living in a city, not find a job, and have to live off of tip money.

I share my one bedroom apartment with a friend. I hadn’t intended on staying in Halifax but on returning home to work and save money. I got sucked in due to my lack of backbone and my friend’s awareness of my one true weakness. Little did I know that half way through the summer she would be leaving me alone with the apartment she had to have.
Now, I work very small amounts at Tim Hortons, where I had been hired on full time, and am unable to afford my small apartment of which I did not want in the first place.
I should probably come to some sort of conclusion that would be great advice for people intending on going out into the world, but it is likely they can give me better advice. All I can really say is, while you still can, learn to work and make money. When you move out, don’t do something unless you are certain it is what you want, you can never over analysis something as important as where you live and who you live with.
